Bespoke kitchens in Dalston

The workshop is at Lingey Close, in the village, and has been on that site since 1972. The showroom, the machine shop and the paint shop are all on the same site, and the vans go out from here.

Ask when you come to the showroom. It is a working shop with machinery running, so it is not an open house, but people who want to see where their kitchen will be made are generally the people we most like talking to.

In-frame means every door and drawer sits inside a face frame fixed to the carcass, the way a piece of furniture is made, rather than hanging on the front of a box. It takes more timber, more machining and far more accuracy, because the gap around each door has to be even the whole way round and it is visible.

It is also why a well-made in-frame kitchen still looks right in twenty years. There is a frame holding everything square.

Yes. Painted work is primed here and hand-painted on site in water-based eggshell, and the colour is whatever you want it to be. That is one of the practical advantages of having a paint shop rather than ordering doors in a manufacturer's fixed range.
