Annan, Dumfriesshire
Bespoke kitchens in Annan

The houses here
Why a standard one will not fit.
Annan is a red sandstone town on the Solway with a Georgian and Victorian centre, and farms and older houses spread along the coast and inland towards Dornock and Eastriggs. We know this stretch well: we have made two rooms at Dornock, two years apart, for the same house.
That second Dornock job is the thing we would point at if someone asked whether the work lasts. The kitchen went in in 2023. In 2025 we went back and made the dressing room. People do not ask you back two years later if the first job went wrong.
We buy the timber, cut and machine the carcasses at Dalston, prime them in our own paint shop, hand-paint them on site in water-based eggshell, and fit them with our own fitting team. One firm, one drawing, one number to ring afterwards.

Our own job, near Annan
A dressing room over the border, Dornock

Annan: the questions we get
Have you actually worked near Annan?
Yes. There is a kitchen and utility room at Dornock from September 2023 and a fitted dressing room in the same house from July 2025. Both are on the projects pages with photographs.
Do you charge extra for crossing the border?
No. Dumfriesshire has always been part of the area we cover and it is not a long run from Dalston. The price is for the furniture and the fitting, not for the postcode.
What is an in-frame kitchen, and why does it cost more?
In-frame means every door and drawer sits inside a face frame fixed to the carcass, the way a piece of furniture is made, rather than hanging on the front of a box. It takes more timber, more machining and far more accuracy, because the gap around each door has to be even the whole way round and it is visible.
It is also why a well-made in-frame kitchen still looks right in twenty years. There is a frame holding everything square.
Can you match a colour I have already chosen?
Yes. Painted work is primed here and hand-painted on site in water-based eggshell, and the colour is whatever you want it to be. That is one of the practical advantages of having a paint shop rather than ordering doors in a manufacturer's fixed range.
