A painted canopy under sash windows, the Old Vicarage
Made at Lingey Close in Dalston and fitted by our own team in February 2023. The carcasses were cut here, the painted work was primed here and hand-painted on site, and the firm that made it is the firm you ring if anything ever needs attention.
Wigton is the market town between us and the Solway, and its housing is mostly Georgian and Victorian around the centre with farms and smallholdings spread out across the plain behind it. Farmhouse kitchens out this way tend to be large, cold, awkwardly shaped rooms with a range at one end and a door to the yard at the other, and they need furniture that accepts the shape of the room rather than arguing with it.
