Under the trusses of a barn, Bassenthwaite

Barn conversion kitchen near Bassenthwaite under an exposed king-post truss, with a navy island and pale in-frame cabinets
Bassenthwaite. Fitted August 2025. Photograph by Jonathan Becker.

Made at Lingey Close in Dalston and fitted by our own team in August 2025. The carcasses were cut here, the painted work was primed here and hand-painted on site, and the firm that made it is the firm you ring if anything ever needs attention.

Keswick and the country around Bassenthwaite and Threlkeld is Lakeland stone and slate, older cottages, big Victorian houses and a large number of properties that are let out for part of the year. A holiday let is a different brief from a family house: it has to look right in photographs, and it has to survive changeover after changeover without marking.
